About VanderLeest Trailer Sales

VanderLeest Trailer Sales was founded in 2018 with an inventory of just three small single-axle trailers. Since those humble beginnings, we’ve grown to be one of the top trailer dealers in Northeastern Wisconsin by believing that selling trailers comes second to building relationships. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service and a great buying experience in addition to high quality trailers from Black Rhino, Gatormade, Retco and Rock Solid.

Hi my name is Matt VanderLeest and I am the owner of VanderLeest Trailer Sales. I started my business in 2018 and started slow as I was also selling firewood and working a full time job elsewhere. Not too long after I started building my brand, I decided that I wanted to pursue trailer sales full time because I enjoyed challenging myself to reach new levels and see myself grow.

I have learned so much about myself and the trailer industry along the way. Someone who has taught me a lot and has been there from the start was my Grandfather. He has always been willing to ride along to go pick up trailers from the manufacturers and I always appreciate the time that we get to spend together. Aside from running my business, you can find me doing outside activities such as snowmobiling, ATV-ing, and camping. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends whenever I can.

				I bought a UTV earlier in the summer and needed a trailer to haul it around without having to borrow from friends. I talked to some closer places but mostly got brushed off when asking basic questions. I called and talked to Matt about what would work best for me. Matt spent 20 minutes on the phone with me discussing options and the different advantages/disadvantages of each model. I decided on a 7’x12’ Black Rhino aluminum trailer. I asked for aluminum upgraded rims and a spare tire/rim with mount. Matt gave me a fantastic price and offered to have the trailer ready the same day. I drove 2 hours one way to pick it up and when I arrived the trailer was ready for pickup and as described it would be. He even pulled it around to the front of the parking lot for me. While I was there there I noticed he also sells accessories so I picked up a set of straps for tying down my UTV. Matt took the time to make sure I had all my questions answered and had everything ready as promised. I would not go anywhere else for my future trailer needs, he’s worth the drive.

Yes, we are happy to extend the life and improve the quality of your trailer even if it hasn’t been purchased from us.
